Mobile Unified Communications Client Coming To Verizon

The lines between office space and personal space are beginning to blur a bit. ?Verizon recently announced at CTIA that they?ll be introducing their new Mobile Unified Communications Client (Mobile UC) and will be available initially for the?Droid X,?Droid X2,?Droid 2,?Droid 2 Global and?Droid Pro

With the Mobile UC client, your personal number and office number are now accessible on one mobile device, and you have the choice of presenting your mobile or business identity when making calls. That way, when you call from your work number, your business identity is shown. And, when receiving a call on your work number, you can be reached directly whether in or out of the office.

Verizon?s breakthrough business tool, Mobile Unified Communications (UC), seamlessly integrates your office wireline number and features and employee?s wireless smartphones into one form of communication.

For those looking to always be in connection with their business whether at home or on the go, nothing would serve better as a solution for giving off the impression you?re in business 24/7. ?In addition, with this tool, your office will never be defined to any specific location. ?It?s where you want or need it to be. ?In addition to the service, Vz offers a?Mobile?UC docking station for times when you?re not on the go. ?When your smartphone is docked all calls placed from it will be re-routed through your own company?s PBX system, subsequently not going against any of your minutes. ?The service will run you $7/mo and you can purchase the dock for $125. ?$7 bucks a month is chump change in exchange for complete office mobility and to never miss a call again when calls = money. ?I?m going to chock this one up on the ?why didn?t anyone think of this before?? list.
