Five Upcoming Console Games of August 2011 | GADG

Keep your eye on the most anticipated video games of the month!

August is probably the best time to sit in your couch and turn on your favorite console device, as there are a wide array of exciting video games that are slated to hit the shelves this month. Below, GADG created a list of the five biggest console games?with its trailers, allowing you to spend your whole month with some fun and action.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Slated for a release on August 23, this first-person shooter video developed by Eidos Montreal and published by Square Enix, is the third installment in the Deus Ex first-person role-playing game series. Deus Ex: Human Revolution depicts the story of the main protagonist, Adam Jensen, who works under the Sarif Industries ? a company that specializes in human augmentations. After finding himself injured from an attack made to his company, Jensen was forced to undergo the augmentation process in order to survive. The game will be rolled out for PC, X360, and PS3 platforms.

Madden NFL 12

Based from the National Football League, Madden NFL 12 is an American football video game that is being developed by EA Tiburon and will be released by EA Sports on August 30 for iPhone, PS3, Wii, X360, PSP, and iPad platforms. The publisher just added 25 new gameplays, allowing players to experience a much closer grip to the NFL. The Madden NFL 12 now features 32 teams, new stadiums, and all your favorite players in the league.

Meanwhile, for the Wii version, executive producer Phil Frazier confirmed that they will likely to support the Classic Controller.

Captain America: Super Soldier

Coming to Nintendo 3DS on August 15, the Captain America: Super Soldier is a third person single player video game that is based from the movie Captain America: The First Avenger. Similar to the film, the game will be depicting the adventures of Captain America, as he faces the Red Skull and Hydra.

Captain America: Super Soldier?s game play combines a very athletic yet free-flow combat system and a superb action of shield attacks. Players will control Captain America and use his shield to defeat his foes, solve puzzles, scale walls, and deflect projectiles.

Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition

The downloadable online version of Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition is now slated to hit the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on August 23, 2011. This competitive fighting game, which is produced by Capcom, is said to be the third and final installment in the Street Fighter series. The upcoming strike just confirmed new characters ? ?including Chun-Li, Makoto, Remy, Q and Twelve. New stages, endings, and voice actors have also been added on the video game.

The Sims Medieval: Pirates and Nobles

The upcoming simulation game for PCs will be featuring new quests, treasure huntings, and a lot of new objects for your kingdom. The game starts when the Pirates of Aarbyville and the Nobles of Tredony arrived in your place, embarking sword fights, love affairs, and mysteries. The Sims Medieval: Pirates and Nobles, which will be launched on August 30, allows players to customize their kingdoms and stylize their Sims through using themed objects and medieval clothing.
