Sarah Jarosz, In Concert

  • "Run Away"
  • "Floating In The Balance"
  • "My Muse"
  • "Ring Them Bells"
  • "Come Around"
  • "Gypsy"
  • "Old Smitty"
  • "Annabelle Lee"
  • "Song Up In Her Head"

Acoustic music rooted in tradition isn't necessarily stuck in the past, especially when old-soul artists like Sarah Jarosz are expanding the genre with respect, innate musicality and curiosity.

A joyful set at the 2010 Newport Folk Festival literally set the stage for her sophomore album, Follow Me Down (out May 17), and it's hard not to follow the path of an artist that finds a home for Bob Dylan and Radiohead covers in a musical career that began in bluegrass.

In a special WFUV 90.7 event, Jarosz performed at The Living Room in New York City's Lower East Side on May 16, the night before her new record hit stores. The evening was hosted by WFUV's John Platt.
