?

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - On Friday, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful will kick off its newest program, Sustainability In Action, aimed at helping schools reduce waste, energy, and water consumption through recycling, composting, and other initiatives identified by Cincinnati Public Schools.

Six pilot schools will receive a sustainability coordinator to assist students and faculty with the implementation of ?green? practices throughout the remainder of the school year. This program is made possible due to support from Procter & Gamble, Hamilton County Recycling & Solid Waste, and the City of Cincinnati?s Office of Environmental Quality.

On Friday, Council Member Chris Seelbach, CPS Superintendent Mary Ronan, and representatives from sponsors will appear at Silverton Paideia Academy to announce the six participating schools.
